Wardleworth - Alleyways

Wardleworth - Alleyways

Alleyways and rear entries are often used by offenders to move around unseen, access gardens, store stolen property, or carry out anti social behaviour. Unfortunately, unsecured gates, fly tipping, littering and abandoned items can make these areas more attractive for criminal activity.

Residents can help by ensuring gates are kept closed and secure, reporting damaged fencing or alley gates, removing items that could be used to gain access to properties, and reporting any suspicious activity.

We also ask residents to dispose of waste responsibly. Fly tipping and dumped rubbish can block access routes, attract further anti social behaviour and create environmental and fire hazards.

If you see suspicious activity in alleyways, people repeatedly accessing rear entries without good reason, or items being stored that cause concern, please report it to us. Concerns about fly tipping, waste or environmental issues can also be reported to Rochdale Council.

Help keep the alleyways of Wardleworth, Milkstone and Deeplish clean, safe and free from crime.
